I am so proud that registration for my club’s Spring 2009 season is up 13% from last year. And, this is the largest number of kids playing in our club in the Spring since Spring 2004.
The overall registration trend in our area has been dismal. Thankfully, I think everyone’s numbers are recovering.

There’s a brewing issue in my recreation league about allowing U11 players to play in a U14 bracket.

I attended the first Upward basketball game of the season today. My son and daughter play on the same team.

It’s 2009. A new year is upon us. And, I’m excited that registration for the Spring season begins in a few weeks.
While I have enjoyed my time off from the sport, can I honestly say I have separated myself from the sport for a well deserved break? Not a chance.

My U7 recreation team had a wonderful season this Fall. The team is really starting to work well together in regard to using the whole field, passing the ball and not bunching. I’m very impressed with their progression at this young of an age. I wish I could take credit for it.
